Find and remove waste - scaling agile with architectural and organizational considerations

Det tredje webinaret i höstens webinarserie tillsammans med Blekinges Tekniska Högskola. Webinaret kommer att sändas på engelska.

To make agile/lean a way of life an organization must continuously evaluate value-adding, non-value-adding but essential, and wasteful ways of working and make changes for the better. This “refactoring” of ways of working and support structures in an organization must be done from the ground up – involving everyone. To enable this both organizational aspects and (product/service) architecture need to be the base for improvements. We present how this can be done in the ongoing research into scaling agile and making it real in the entire organization.

This webinar will be presented by Dr. Binish Tanveer from BTH. She is working on the effective scaling of agile practices in large organizations. Her work includes identifying and removing wasteful policies, structures, processes, and communication patterns among large organizations’ socio-technical interdependencies. She has extensive industry experience in developing and maintaining large software products. She has also extensively consulted large organizations in their software process improvement initiatives. She has a Ph.D. in software engineering from Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Currently she is working as a researcher at the Blekinge Institute of Technology.
